3FS – 3rd Millennium Fleet System
Intro
The planned extensions for the 3FS system represent a strategic investment aimed at leveraging the experience gained and consolidating the platform as a proprietary technological asset. The Plan identifies 3FS as the operational and technological starting point for the evolution of the Company’s offering, with the objective of improving usability, user experience, and efficiency.
Throughout 2026, the R&D project will continue along a path of structured platform evolution, strengthening its central role in the Company’s industrial model. This evolution is based on the progressive introduction of intelligent and data-driven components to support core decision-making and operational processes.
3FS also serves as the reference environment for the experimentation and validation of advanced AI-based solutions, within a controlled adoption framework. In parallel, the project aims to expand the application scope of the platform, enhancing its flexibility, scalability, and reusability.
Goals
In line with the outlined scenario, R&D activities are aimed at achieving the following objectives:
-
development and validation of advanced predictive analytics and decision-support approaches, based on the processing of available operational data, to improve forecast accuracy and the effectiveness of operational decisions in fleet management processes;
-
experimentation with solutions for the rationalization and orchestration of operational processes, aimed at reducing complexity, execution times, and result variability, while preserving decision-making control and responsibility within the competent organizational structures;
-
introduction of continuous system performance evaluation models, aimed at identifying opportunities for functional improvement and process optimization, according to criteria of consistency, measurability, and sustainability;
-
verification of the platform’s ability to adapt to different application scenarios, analyzing its transferability to operational areas and market segments beyond those currently addressed;
-
preparation of a methodological and technological framework that enables, in the medium term, the structured integration of AI-based solutions, in line with the evolutionary guidelines defined by the Plan.
Activities already carried out
During 2025, the 3FS platform underwent a structured set of improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening the technological architecture, security, and overall operational efficiency. Activities included updating core application components, reorganizing the cloud infrastructure and environments, introducing automated infrastructure management models, and strengthening access control mechanisms through a structured Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) approach.
In parallel, functional and performance optimizations were introduced to improve user experience, system monitoring capabilities, and operational load management, along with automation of licensing, billing, and application support processes. These initiatives collectively increased the platform’s reliability, scalability, and maintainability, while ensuring greater security, operational traceability, and compliance with operational and technological best practices.
Results to be achieved
Planned activities focus on the following areas:
3FS – Functional Improvements
Interventions include optimization of authorization processes and organizational workflows, advanced management of roles and hierarchical approvals, and automation of user support through AI-driven solutions. In parallel, the financial and reporting area will be strengthened, and continuous alignment with applicable regulations and geographic usage contexts will be ensured. The evolution will be completed by modular functional extensions, activatable on a pay-per-use basis, such as advanced dashboards, automatic VIN imports, AI agents for operational support, fines management, and vehicle disposals.
3FS – Target Operational Fleet (TOF) & Automatic Rotation
Implementation of an advanced data-driven decision-making ecosystem based on machine learning algorithms, capable of supporting predictive and automatic fleet planning and optimization. The system will include the Target Operational Fleet (TOF) model, capable of forecasting weekly fleet performance by car group, ACRISS code, and geographic area, using historical rental data and configurable modes (exclusive or shared). Based on these forecasts, Automated Fleet Rotation mechanisms will optimize vehicle purchasing, sales, and rotation processes, balancing costs, revenues, and margins according to defined corporate strategies, supported by advanced mathematical models and AI-guided interactions.
3FS – Cross Market Extension
Focused on extending the platform’s functionalities beyond the car rental perimeter, to address fleet management needs in other market segments. The activity involves engaging potential clients willing to share detailed information on their operational processes (e.g., fuel card management, vehicle assignment, route analysis), which will form the basis for adapting and enhancing 3FS, making it a flexible, reusable, and scalable tool across different application contexts.
