CARS AND RFID: A revoluctionary combination

RFID technology is widely spreading throughout the automotive sector, with great prospects for the car rental sector: "using RFID technology, with a simple chip containing a receiver, and a central system, it is possible to automate, for example, all the check-in and check-out operations of vehicles, but also the maintenance operations, by following the vehicle through all its movements from one workshop to the other." The integration of those systems, more and more powerful and inexpensive, together with information technology, open very interesting perspectives in the direction of process rationalization.
